Close to Ronda and an amazing mountain drive away from Marbella; The “ blue village” is set in an extraordinary environment, ideal for enjoying activities related to nature, especially adventurous sports in some of the stunning spots nearby.

Smurf it: Júzcar, known as the “Blue Village” or Smurf Village, was transformed into a blue spectacle in 2011 to promote the film The Smurfs. The town embraced the idea, painting everything blue and adding Smurf-themed decorations.

Enjoying Nature: The Blue Village is perfect for nature-based adventure sports. For example, explore nearby hiking routes and, most importantly, try canyoning! An adrenaline rush in a well known gorge formed by river erosion, Have a look under, DAY-ACTIVITY (link to canyoning Júzcar).

Local Art work: Visitors looking for local crafts can find a range of items, including straw espadrilles ( sandals made of straw), jugs and containers ( made of straw), and cork products. Interesting and beautiful handmade work.

Thanks to Júzcar’s scenic location, there are beautiful views of the town, valley, and nearby mountains. The Mirador de la Torrichela, featuring a giant Papa Smurf, and the Mirador el Jardon are conveniently located as you enter the town.

For views of the valley, head to the Mirador de los Molinos, situated behind the church, and the Mirador de San José, which is also nearby. Hike the Sendero de los Molinos trail to find the Mirador del Nacimiento las Zúas and its charming natural spring.
